Ranking
How we rank
The order is not for sale. An affiliate booking does not move a property up the list.
List pages sort by the Booking.com guest score. That number is theirs, not a KipAtlas rating, and the page says so. A property with fewer than five reviews still shows its score, with the label "Few reviews", and it ranks below stays that have a fuller review history. One 10.0 from a single review does not outrank an 8.8 from several hundred.
Who-it-suits notes cover couples, families, solo travellers and business trips. They use the words excellent, good, OK and not ideal. Before a note is published, sentences that claim an amenity the structured list does not include are removed. If nothing honest is left, the note is replaced with a short line that does not invent facilities. The long description is the property text we were given; the amenity list is the part to trust when the two disagree.
Theme pages, such as romantic stays or places with a pool, are created only when at least five properties match. Star counts and property types come from the source record. Wifi, a bar or air conditioning can be filtered on a list, but they do not get their own hub, because almost every stay would qualify.
A property that is no longer bookable on Booking.com keeps its page, so old links do not disappear. The booking button is replaced with nearby alternatives, and the page is left out of the sitemap.
Pages enter the sitemap only with a Booking link, a photo, a description and coordinates. Anything thinner can still be opened, and is marked so search engines do not index it.
